Every year, in the summer, you can find family friendly events in coalition with the Blue Flag.
In the Skive area, two marinas and four beaches have been awarded the Blue Flag in 2020. The many Blue Flags are an honor and with it come a line of fun and educational event, in which you are invited to participate.
Throughout the summer, you will find people on the beach fronts, who will share their knowledge about life in and on Limfjorden. Ranging about anything from clams, seals, and water plants to fish and other small animals.
During the events you will have the opportunity to meet (and touch) both animals and plants in the mobile aquarium. And you can borrow nets and buckets to go hunting in the fjord.
The events will take place at the beaches and in the marinas that fly the Blue Flag: Fur Harbor, Glyngøre Harbor, Glyngøre beach, Harre Vig beach, Ålbæk beach, and Virksund beach.
You can find the event schedule on the Skive municipality’s website.
About the Blue Flag.
The Danish Outdoor Council’s Blue Flag is awarded to beaches and marinas who live up to certain criteria regarding ocean and coast environment. To ensure the quality, each place is assessed anew every year by both a Danish and international jury.
